When it rains it pours!

Holy crap it feels nice to be wanted. I've already mentioned the huge opportunity to work for DMS/AS in DC. On top of that two former coworkers have approached me with even more possible job opportunities. One is with one of my current firms competitors (oh how sweet that would be to shove that in my retard of a boss's face). The other is actually with a former coworker(s) that is starting his own firm. The idea of getting in on the ground floor with a startup firm is very attractive. I'm not sure which job, that one or the DC one sounds more tempting. I think a lot of it will come down to if I even get a job offer from DMS/AS or if I can afford to live in DC for what they offer me. I'm really thinking the move to a city like DC would be the catalyst my life needs for a big change. However a big part of me doesn't want to leave my hometown and my woodworking pasttime. Lots of soul searching is coming around the bend and its going to be rough.

Meanwhile I've made a hobby of taking home "botched" projects from the office and redesigning them the way I would do them. What I like to refer to as "The correct way". Well actually only one is from the office. There is this other house design that our "design consultant" wanted me to make a 3d model of but that fell through. However I still have the set of plans and I'm realizing this guy is a horrible designer too. So I'm sprucing up that design too and I'm going to make a full set of construction plans along with a very detailed 3d model. I am hoping to do some really cool hand renderings of it too and eventually put it into my portfolio but there is no way I'll ever have it done for my upcoming interview.
